WELCOME TO STINGRAY COUNTRY!
Home of the Walnut Country Swim Team (WCST) Stingrays and Little Rays
We're a summer recreation league swim team in the Walnut Country neighborhood (a.k.a., The Crossings) in Concord, CA. Our summer season runs from mid-April to early August, and we have swim clinics in the spring and fall. WCST programs are open to all youth swimmers (aged 3-18). We have no tryouts, no residency requirements, and no pool club memberships (or pool-use fees), but WCST swimmers must meet the minimum swim proficiency requirements to safely participate.
Our focus is on helping youth swimmers improve their skills in a fun and enriching setting, with plenty of social events and opportunities for recognizing the swimmers' effort and achievement. Swimmers bond over practices, meets, and social events, forming core memories and learning lessons in teamwork, leadership, and community. Swim families bond over volunteer jobs, creating a compelling program for the swimmers, and adding to the vitality of the community. Summer rec. swim is a terrific complement to other extracurriculars.
WCST is a parent-organized summer league swim team for swimmers aged 5-18 years old. We’re committed to keeping the FUN in teaching good swimming fundamentals, sportsmanship, and team work. [more] |
Little Rays is a pre-team, skill-building swim program for 3-5 year olds. Little Rays have swim practice, social events for their age group, and have the option of swimming in participation races at some of our home meets. [more] |
